Interior Inspiration : Dream Dining Room

This is the the dining room of the Tiffany Suite in the St Regis Hotel in New York.
This is my most loved colour scheme! I think aqua, white and cerise work perfectly together and can feel cool and fresh as well as warm and cosy with a change in lighting and accessories.

Love the amount of light flooding in through those doors...would be really nice to have lights on the railings outside for at night time.

Those wingback chairs! I'm obsessed with geometric patterns in the home.  They've also got my favourite flowers in my favourite colour *swoon*

Place settings are a bit of an obsession for me...my dining table will be set all the time and i'll probably never use it haha!

Fashion Friday : Wishlist

I was doing some Christmas shopping in Glasgow last week and spotted these mannequins in Forever 21...

Ahhhhh they're like perfect 'me' outfits!
The second one not so much but I love it none the  less.
The grey tshirt in the top outfit is embossed with a paisley type pattern but it's not shiny like embossed cotton normally is which is super cool! Although it does worry me that it would come out in the wash...
Hopefully getting a couple of those items for my Christmas presents :)

New Look Black Leather Look Tee £17.99
Been looking for a fairly cheap leather tee for a while...I'd need to feel this in the shop to decide if this is the one for me.

River Island Jacquard Embellished Shorts £35
I'm a big fan of shorts and these would be great all year round for nights out, especially with the leather top above, black tights and ankle boots.

River Island Black Floral Print Smart Trousers £38
I have white floral trousers that I love wearing in Spring/Summer so I'd love to have a pair suitable for evening and winter.

River Island Cream Leather Laser Cut Boxy Top £30
I think I'm in love! Such a great year round piece!

ASOS Large Face  Slim Strap Watch £20
HOW ADORABLE ARE THESE WATCHES?!?
Actually can't decide which one I prefer ha!

ASOS Slit Front Contrast Maxi Dress £60
How beautiful...if only I was going back to Dubai this year I would definitely be snapping this up!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Finally got to decorate my bedroom today!

Mushrooms!

I got these wooden decorations in Prague a few year ago.

Jingle bell wreaths

I like to use a mini Santa hat as my tree topper

I got Christmas bed sheets this year because I felt that being a Christmas nut my room wasn't quite Christmassy enough :) wanting to get some extra lights to put on my bed too

Of course it wouldn't be Christmas without my favourite festive candle!

Now I'm off to watch the Grinch in my festive get up!

November Glossybox Review

I was going to film my review but my camera has ran out of battery and I can't find the cable to charge it - nightmare!

B. Complete Long Lasting Nail Polish in Seafoam
This is a gorgeous colour and I have one very similar from Essie called Mint Candy Apple.
The formulation of this nail polish is great.  I found it quite streaky on application but this settled out with the second coat.  It does say it's long lasting but I found mine started to chip on the tips very quickly - although this is probably due to the nature of my job rather than the nail polish itself.  I haven't had a chance to test it again properly due to my university placements and working part-time aswell so hopefully over Christmas time I'll be able to wear it for a few days without any chip hazards coming at me.
B nail polishes are available to buy from Superdrug in 33 gorgeous shades - £4.99/8ml

Emite Make Up Micronized Eyeshadow in Dams.
Haven't really had much of a chance to properly try this out either - the joys of having full time placement, writing an essay and having a part time job!
The shadow is a matte black shade and is very easily blended. I didn't find there was any fallout (if any) which is always a big plus in my eyes no matter the colour.
I think I'll probably buy more of their shadows in the future.
Available to buy from the Emite Makeup online store - £16.80

Yves Rocher France Cocao & Raspberry Hand Cream
My hands have been really dry lately with it being so cold now and washing my hands 50 billion times a day whilst I'm on placement and this has been pretty good at helping cure any dry flaky patches I get.  The scent is mouth watering and my hands drink this up super fast without leaving my hands feeling sticky or greasy.
Available to buy from the Yves Rocher website for a bargainlicious £1.95 where they also have shower gel, lip balm, body lotion and home fragrance in this scent yay!

Vichy Idealia Life Serum
I think I was accidently given two of the serums and one sample of the Vichy Smoothing and Illuminating cream but nevermind.
I found the serum very well absorbed by my skin.  The formulation itself has a slight pearlescence to it but it doesn't work like an illuminator like the cream.  I did feel a slight difference in my skin after using it but personally I don't think the amount supplied is enough to be able to notice a big difference in my skin.
Available from Boots - £29.50 for 30ml.

Elegant Touch Rapid Dry for Nails
Firstly, I don't know why I have bought one of these before...it's amazing!!! No longer shall I have to scream in frustration when I bump my nails 5 minutes after painting them.
I timed this for the 60 second claim it offers and my nails were so perfectly dry that I was actually able to go and blowdry my hair after 1 minute without any damage to my manicure whatsoever - lifesaver in a can! I think I'll be using this product for a very long time to come.
Available to buy from Superdrug and Boots - £3 for 125ml.

Overall this was a very pleasing box and I'm looking forward to the next one...more makeup please though!

Interior Inspiration : Dream Kitchen

The kitchen will probably be the most eclectic room in my future home.
It'll need to be fairly big because I love baking and I always make a mess when I cook so I think if it's bigger I wouldn't make as much of a mess....

I really like this industrial style of metal units with wooden counter tops and exposed brick work. It looks really fresh, fun and lively.

This is gorgeous! I'm a big fan of dark wood. This type of wood would be perfect for the counter tops in the kitchen above.

Got to have a bit of sparkle somewhere in the kitchen to glam it up.

Obsessed with subway tiles...and that mixer...and the jars...and those bottles and the box they're in...all of this is perfection!

Fashion Friday : Style Inspiration

I'd class my style as monochrome classics with an edge.
I tend to wear lots of black, grey, navy, white, cream, and stone/peachy shades.
There is a few coloured pieces in my wardrobe- which tend to be statement pieces - but mostly I like neutral shades.

Below are some images that give an idea of how I like to dress.

Unboxing: November Birchbox

Today I received my second Birchbox so I thought I'd share my initial thoughts with you on what was in it.

Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara
Never tried any of the LM mascaras so I'm looking forward to this.  Really need to find a daytime mascara because I use the same one for day and night...think I need a more understated one for work haha!

Weleda Replenishing Oat Shampoo
Pretty self explanatory but luckily I'm nearing the end of my current shampoo so it's perfect timing to get a sample of a new product.

Chella Highlighter Pencil
Pinky hued highlighter pencil. From swatching it on my hand it seems really blendable and it doesn't have any shimmer so it's perfect for winter.

English Laundry Signature for Her Eau de Parfum
"A divine delicate fragrance with elegant notes of quince, jasmine petals and musk"
This is a really soft scent...definitely reminds me of freshly washed clothes

Molton Brown Ylang Ylang Body Wash
Gorgeously fresh scent that I think is perfect for autumn/winter.

My lifestyle gift is a selection of Pukka herbal teas. I'm not much of a tea drinker but I'm really interested to try these out.

I also got a Birchbox pencil sharpener as my goodie.  Thought there's no point in taking a picture of that ha!

Again I'll be doing a review video on my vlog in a few weeks once I've tried everything out.
