Take 5 - Texturising Sprays

This is the first post a new series I'm starting called Take 5.  Every few weeks I'll be pitting 5 of the same type of product against each other to find my favourite.  First up is hair texturisers.

Over the past few weeks I've been testing out the following five texturising sprays and I'm ready to give my verdict.

Tresemme Texture Style Divine Definition Spray
Tresemme tout this spray as "high impact, super lightweight" that will give an "undone look instantly".  I do find that it gives instant texture to my hair but this quickly disappears.  Luckily it doesn't leave any sticky residue in my hair but the texture cannot be brought back by messing my hair up - it just completely vanishes.  Obviously my least favourite of the five.

VO5 Give Me Texture Dry Texturising Spray
This was the first of the sprays that I purchased and has been the one I've been most on the fence about.  It does give my hair good texture but it does fall quickly and leaves a slight residue, but the texture does come back which is what makes me unsure of whether or not I actually like it.

Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce Texturising Spray
This is a non-greasy spray that I feel is best used on the roots as it does give them a good boost but I feel it doesn't give much texture to my roots.  The root boost does last pretty well which is why it's my middle choice of the five.

L'Oreal Paris Texture Styling Volume Supersizing Spray
This was oh so close to coming out on top but the fact that it can leave quite a lot of residue on my roots making it feel quite greasy is what knocked it back a step.  It does however give amazing texture to the lengths of my hair which can be quickly brought back with a quick mess of my hair.

Bumble and Bumble Dryspun Finish
Ahhh the bloggers favourite. An I now see why. Boy oh boy this didn't disappoint me one jot.  I spray this into my roots and give it a good rub in to boost the roots.  This also gives great texture to the lengths of my hair which can fall but a quick mess around brings it right back.  It also has a lovely fresh scent that none of the others possess.

Hope you all enjoyed my picks and thoughts.  Do you have a favourite texturiser that I haven't included?
